A client charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) enlisted the help of Bloomington defense attorney Allison Chopra.
Under Indiana OWI/DUI laws, the client faced a license suspension of up to two years, which would make their commute to work virtually impossible. However, Allison negotiated the license suspension down to only 60 days, and she also petitioned the court for specialized driving privileges (also known as a hardship license).
The judge granted the hardship license, and as a result, Allison’s client could continue to drive to work during the 60-day suspension.
