Headshot of Bloomington criminal defense attorney Allison Chopra. Allison wearing black shirt with long pearl neckless smiling at the camera

Attorney Allison Chopra has lived in Bloomington, Indiana, for over two decades and is honored to call the Hoosier State home. Allison is a proud Army veteran, beginning her service when she was only 17. Since then, her commitment to protecting others has grown, leading her to found Chopra Criminal Defense.

Before becoming a lawyer, Allison Chopra ran her own business as a personal trainer. Once she obtained her law degree, Allison served as a Prosecuting Attorney and later, as an appointed Chief Deputy Prosecutor in Indiana. There, Allison gained insight into how prosecutors view criminal cases and what it takes to successfully negotiate with them.

Leveraging her experience as a prosecutor, Allison began her own criminal defense law practice in Bloomington. Chopra Criminal Defense is an exclusively virtual firm, dedicated to helping those accused of a crime in Indiana through efficient and innovative legal means.

In her free time, Allison likes to play sports, visit the lake with her two sons, and attend comedy shows.

What Makes Allison Special?

Allison’s unique background as a prosecutor and insatiable curiosity toward criminal law allow her to tailor every defense strategy to her client’s best interests.
